The actress began acting and dancing professionally around the middle of the 1990s, with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then The Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to Minnesota and was made a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a documentary mock film that focused on beauty contests. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 from September 1962 to June 1951 and the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to work for MGM during the 1940s. Through the 1960s, Leigh appeared in films that were popular, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho as well as Living It Up.
