Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti and was born in Glen Cove New York United States on the 13th of October, 1980. She is a songwriter, singer and actor who hails from the United States. Ashanti's self-titled debut album was released in 2002 through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration The fourth studio album, debuted on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby (After The Club) came out on radios and other digital platforms on the 16th of October. She portrayed Latasha in Army Wives and starred in the film Christmas in the City.
