Katherine Heigl admits that she grew up in a bubble of white and how that influenced the way she raised her adopted multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" told a reporter that it was not important how dark her skin color was to her. After meeting her adopted Korean American older sister she realized the difference between how others took care of her. "I inquired of Meg how she was different when she went out with our parents and when she went out by herself. Meg replied, "Oh, yeah, all the times! Heigl admitted to her parents that it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. She became enraged by the incident, and decided to channel her anger into support her two adopted daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
