She gained fame for playing Marnie Michaels in the HBO comedy drama series Girls, which aired between 2012 and the year 2017. The role garnered her nominations for Critics Choice Awards. Rose Armitage's performance on Get Out, a horror film which debuted in the year 2017 was her first big break. The film earned nods at the MTV Movie Awards as well as the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
